How a Valor service ticket progresses

  1. Capture measurable inputs

    Fuel type, design BTU/hr, vent preference, and insert opening sizes land in one intake sheet. Missing chase dimensions or roof pitch data is flagged before engineering time starts.

  2. Map SKUs to the envelope

    Fireplace and insert families are matched to framing and roofing interfaces. Air permeability and moisture vapor transmission notes appear only where chase walls meet conditioned space.

  3. Publish a shortlist with trade-offs

    Each option lists service life expectancy, published BTU bands, and known limitations—such as when electric media cannot replace a gas unit for whole-room heating duty.

  4. Support install checkpoints

R-value and thermal conductivity of chase insulation are referenced only where they affect thermal bridging at attic interfaces—not as a substitute for the building envelope schedule.

  • Limitation — fuel: Propane and natural-gas orifice kits are not interchangeable without the listed conversion kit and pressure check.
  • Limitation — power: Shared 120 V circuits may trip when electric media heaters share receptacles with other loads; request dedicated circuit notes early.
  • Limitation — schedule: Multi-line hospitality audits need 5–7 business days after complete intake; single-clearance tickets stay in the 1–2 day window.

Verify deliverables by comparing returned cut-sheet IDs to nameplate model numbers, confirming listed clearances with field measurements, and walking roof terminations against wind load rating and flashing details with the roofing sub before the underlayment pass closes.
